Day two in the NO CAR Experiment was a piece of cake. Of course, school has not started and I'm doing light work at my home office that requires no contact with the outside world.
I took the children on a practice run to see how long it would take to get to school and make sure the bus dropped us off fairly close to the school. Sitting in the playroom I determined that we had six minutes to catch the bus. One child did needed to locate and put on shoes, which can sometimes take more than six minutes in my house. However, shoes were found, and after a short walk we popped on the bus and it took 7 minutes to get to the school. AND the bus dropped us off in front of the Spider House where we got a quick latte and a snack. Couldn't beat it with a stick.
Tomorrow I am going to Dallas, and I will ride in my car. However, this does not count because my husband has a long-scheduled trip to Dallas and would have been taking the car. I am just catching a ride to visit a friend. Doesn't count does it?

Read the entry before this one called "2003 Volvo Station Wagon". Weird title, but it's part of a contest. You can learn about how I started a life of crime in the car and also started a life in the car.
P.S. My kids had a lemonade stand and one customer gave them $100 and said, "Keep the change."
