Somehow I stumbled upon StepmothersMilk, and because I don’t need to talk about step issues (much) it didn’t seem like a site for me, but reading one post hooked me, and I can’t get enough.  Izzy Rose is a fascinating writer who gives her readers an astute view of the mind of a kind, cool and thoughtful stepmother.

Jealousy almost overcame me as I marveled over:
1)  Izzy’s glamorous life as a television producer;
2)  Izzy’s big city, savvy overtones;
3)  Izzy’s in-shape and skinny body;
4)  Izzy’s clever, poignant and purposeful writing; and
5)  Izzy’s ability to make a blended family work.

However, after reading all her posts in one sitting, I’ve decided that she’s terrific, and I’m cheering for her win. Win, what? I don’t know, but I hope that in the end, Izzy comes out on top.

My August Perfect Post goes to Izzy for “The Grass is Greener in Paradise” where Izzy empathizes with her youngest stepson as he longs for his old life. Izzy gives readers a flash look at the loneliness of hearing that no matter how much the stepson likes living with Izzy that he needs his mommy.
